Rainwater Harvesting Pit Inaugurated in Bharati Nagar Division

Ramachandrapuram, December 19 (Gnana Telangana) :
A new rainwater harvesting pit, crucial for rainwater conservation,was inaugurated on Friday in the HIG Madhava Nagar colony of Bharati Nagar division, under the Patancheru constituency, by Corporator Smt. Sindhu Adarsh Reddy. This program was jointly organized by WaterAid India (Jal Seva Charitable Foundation) and the HIG Society. On the same occasion, she also inaugurated the society office, which had recently undergone renovations. Speaking on the occasion, Corporator Sindhu Adarsh Reddy said that by diverting rainwater into the ground instead of wasting it, the groundwater level will increase, which will significantly reduce the drinking water problem in the future.She suggested that there is a need to set up such rainwater harvesting pits in every colony.
She also assured that she would do her best to provide basic amenities in the colony, such as the construction of a compound wall and road development. Society president Srinivas, GS Chenna Reddy,directors Rajashree, Varalakshmi, Sambamurthy, former presidents BN Reddy, Dharma Prakash, and a large number of colony residents participated in the program and made it a success.
